With the rising cost of bills, food and seemingly everything else, this Christmas is going to be a tough one for a lot of people.

Therefore it’s more important than ever to support struggling families and children across Manchester and Salford as Wood Street Mission launch this year’s Christmas Appeal.

It doesn’t take much, but donating new toys, gifts or books for children aged 0-14 years old can make their Christmas, ensuring they have something special to open up on Christmas Day.

Last year, Wood Street Mission distributed 12,500 presents to struggling families across the two cities, and this year they need our help more than ever before.

They’ll be taking donations of NEW toys, gifts and books, unwrapped for ages 0-14 years old until Friday 10th December. You can drop gifts off with them Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 4.30pm at Wood Street Mission, 26 Wood Street, Manchester M3 3EF.

If you’d like to help but don’t have a clue about what to buy, they’ve created Christmas Wish Lists on Amazon, which is by no means comprehensive but will give you an idea of what to buy and what would be most useful.
