Crazy Pedro’s
Personally my most favourite pizza in the city, Crazy Pedro’s is a lot different to most of the other pizzas on this list, not only because it’s a New York style pie but because of those toppings. Ohhh those toppings. If you’re someone that’s not impressed with a BIG MAC PIZZA then stop reading this now and don’t ever read this site again. Gone? Good riddance.

Rudy’s Neapolitan Pizza
The pizzas heard all over the world. That’s what I’ve just made up as a slogan for Rudy’s. It doesn’t make ANY sense at all but you get the idea – everyone knows about Rudy’s, they’re pretty much world-famous and that’s all due to the fact that they are outstanding. And they’re very reasonably priced also. Well, you can now get them delivered to your house, or you can get a DIY kit sent – where you make it yourself.

Dough-Re-Me DIY Kit
This lot from Heaton Mersey are offering up these brilliant DIY Pizza Kits where they send all of the ingredients to your house and you follow the instructions to make two belting Margarita pizzas. I’ve tried it and they came out banging – and I was half-cut and not even paying attention. And at one point I started playing on my Game Boy and they STILL came out mega.

Noi Quattro
A picture paints a thousand words. That’s what some bloke said all the way back in the 1800s when he invented the camera and wanted to sell it to people. Well, he didn’t see that picture above because the only words it seems to be painting to me are “Fuck, I want that.” And that’s only 4 words. Idiot. Noi Quattro, rather new to the NQ, have been smashing out the pizzas this lockdown and they’re excellent. They also do a DIY kit too.

Proove
We sometimes get a lot of flak for not including places outside of the city centre and most of the time it’s actually not that justified. Most places that deliver pizza in the suburbs are just kebab shops, offering up dense discs of dough that are topped with half a bag of flavourless cheese and half a donner kebab. Great for 3am but rubbish for your tea. West Didsbury’s Proove though are beautiful Neapolitan creations that give all the city centre pizzas a run for their money.

Don Giovanni
As the city’s oldest independent Italian, and certainly one of the most impressive, it would be a travesty if Don Giovanni weren’t offering their delicious pizzas for delivery. Well, luckily enough for us – they are. There’s a huge, long list of them on offer and if you’ve got your head screwed on you’d order their biggest Margarita, a huge bowl of Spaghetti Carbonara and some wine and have the best meal since lockdown.

Piccolino
There are loads of Piccolinos out there so even if you live in places like Hale, Didsbury or Alderley Edge – you can still get authentic Italian pizzas delivered to your doorstep. Or, if we’re being honest, delivered to your gate, that’s at the end of your massive gravel drive. Rich people still like pizza though and Piccolino’s ones are excellent. You can’t go wrong with their Piccante spicy sausage number.

Ciaooo Pizza
I’ve only just been informed that Ciaooo is actually still open and ready for deliveries and this is he best news ever. If you’ve never been, just either take my word for it or look a the picture above. Or both. Whatever you decide – you should at least give this lot a go – if only for their really rather inventive and impressive weekly specials. If you can’t find something that you’ll love on the menu – then you must be some form of robot who eats only pills or baby food like Robocop.
