We want to get up close and personal with some of Manchester’s brewers, and man are there a lot of them. We wanted to hear their stories, take a look behind the scenes and of course sample some products along the way.
Based in the Northern Quarter, Top of our list was ShinDigger Brewing Co. The co-director Paul gave us a whistle-stop tour and was happy to have a couple of beers with us and a quick chat about how they came about.
The Shindigger boys are quite new to the game, starting up just over five years ago after they met at University and started brewing from home. A few years on, they are a serious contender in the Manchester beer scene with products in some of the most notable bars in the city and beyond.
We tried a few of their signature beers such as the West Cost Pale Ale (4.7%), Everything’s Peachy (4.2%) and my go to summer drink the Mango Unchained IPA.
Shindigger brews have summer written all over them, and excluding the brownie points it gets for being local, it has to be one of our favourite producers of beer in the entire country.
