Veo is a Manchester-born ‘earth friendly’ marketplace set to launch on 14th February 2021. In preparation for launch they’re finding out what shoppers want – so you can have your say in their survey.
As Ethical Consumer’s ‘top-rated ethical retailer’ and ‘Amazon alternative’ Veo’s mission is to help you shop better, connecting consumers with hundreds of independent & sustainable brands all together on one platform.
In preparation for the launch Veo has partnered with several leading UK universities and Codeswitch researchers to conduct a survey into changing consumer behaviours and the shift towards sustainable shopping. This follows other Manchester businesses helping us shop better, like Unicorn Grocery and Pip’s plastic-free low-impact living. Although instead of just grocery Veo is covering all categories across Fashion, Beauty, Food & Drink, and Home, putting everything online, all in one place, for us to discover a world of artisan and statement brands from around the UK and abroad. Veo is also committed to being a carbon positive business, by offsetting the carbon footprint and impacts of e-commerce delivery.
Since COVID, we have seen a seismic shift in consumer behaviour as increasingly more of us seek to be more responsible with our everyday purchases. We saw a notable uptake in plant-based or flexitarian eating, and a move towards shopping better with ‘slow fashion’ brands, and all natural botanical beauty and skincare.
