Cottonopolis have teamed up with Manchester powerhouse Cleo Farman (MD and founder of Diablesse Rum) to host this jam-packed full-day Sunday Social on Sunday 8th March.
We love a Sunday workshop at Cottonopolis. This special International Women’s Day Sunday social will be full of exciting female-led activities and back-to-back workshops hosted by a range of Manchester-based creatives and female entrepreneurs – what a treat!
There will also be an exclusive cocktail menu created in collaboration with Diablesse – which will see a percentage of the proceeds donated to The Pankhurst Trust, who work hard to challenge gender inequality and help the victims of domestic violence get the help and support they need.
So, whats on?
Make Your Own Flower Bouquet.
If you’re anything like me and find yourself regularly daydreaming of being a florist, you’ll be as excited as I am for this one. From 10.30am- 12pm join Aimee from BLOOM HQ for her well sought after and most popular floristry class. Aimee will be providing a masterclass using beautiful seasonal blooms – teaching us new skills such as how to prep, cut and style arrangements.
Tickets cost £35 (with the blooms yours to keep) and can be purchased here.
Make Your Own Sterling Silver Ring.
From 1pm until 3pm – Lucy Charlotte will be hosting her unique Ring Making Workshop, teaching us traditional silversmithing techniques. Learn a range of different techniques from annealing, forging, soldering, cutting, filing and polishing before coming away with your very own, stunning sterling silver ring made with love from scratch. There’s absolutely no experience needed – just bring yourself and your best group of girls!
Tickets cost £50 and can be purchased here.
There will also be pop-ups from July Child (expect signet rings and stunning hair accessories) and the collaborative platform Small Fry Collective (with a selection of artwork and unique pieces from a number of Manchester-based artists).
Of course, any Sunday at Cottonopolis is all about Manchester’s iconic DJ collective The Beat Boutique.
Bringing the noise from the best in rare soul, disco and funk with their enviable selection of vinyl – The Beat Boutique will be soundtracking this International Women’s Day with their all-female collective.
From humble beginnings – The Beat Boutique began hosting club nights circa 2008 and have since become powerhouses in their craft, garnering an impressive following and playing amongst many DJ Heavyweights and running nights in the city for over a decade.
Taking over the turntables this IWD – The Beat Boutique will be joined by some of Manchester’s exciting emerging female talent, so keep an eye on their socials for any announcements!
The perfect opportunity to support independent, female-led businesses whilst celebrating this International Women’s Day – you don’t want to miss this special Sunday Social at Cottonopolis!
