The full programme has been revealed for Get In! To Eccles, a new two-day festival set to bring music, art, performances and family-friendly events to venues and public spaces across Eccles town centre.
Taking place on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 March 2026, the festival will transform locations including the high street, shopping centre, town hall and local venues with a packed schedule designed so visitors can drop in for an hour or spend the whole weekend exploring what’s on.
Across both days, installations and exhibitions will appear throughout the town. Artist Lowri Evans will present a series of interactive works at Eccles Train Station inspired by the people who pass through it every day, while inside Eccles Shopping Centre, Freya Wysocki’s Moss Dreams will turn an empty retail unit into an immersive installation exploring the hidden world of moss through sculpture, fabric, lighting and sound.

Meanwhile, Eccles Community Art Gallery will host Our Eccles, a group exhibition bringing together local artists sharing their own impressions of the area.
The weekend begins on Saturday morning at St Mary’s Parish Church, where organist Lizzie Bell will perform two recitals before performances from string trio Amba Strings later in the day. The church will also host a series of drop-in workshops, including a collage-based badge-making session with Salford Badge Club and a family craft workshop led by Eccles Community Art Gallery.

As the day continues, exhibitions and installations across the town centre will remain open before the evening’s headline music event at Eccles Town Hall Ballroom. The sold-out show, presented by 6 Music Festival and FaT OuT and recorded for broadcast on BBC Radio 6 Music, will feature performances from Lauren Auder, Naima Bock and R.AGGS, bringing together a line-up spanning art-pop, experimental post-punk and folk-influenced songwriting.
Live music will also take place across local venues on Saturday evening, including a performance by the Greek Folk Band at Illirian Greek and two sets at 96 Degrees Eccles from vocal harmony trio The Mollies and local folk singer Paul Wright.

Sunday’s programme begins at Eccles Town Hall Ballroom with two performances of the BBC Philharmonic’s CBeebies Musical Story of the Gingerbread Man. Featuring musicians from the orchestra alongside a live narrator, the interactive performance is aimed at younger audiences but open to all ages.
Later that afternoon, Music Through The Ages will bring together bands of different generations performing rock, blues, pop and classic songs, hosted by Manchester drum and bass vocalist Jenna G and presented by local music school The Music Shed. The programme will also include a set of music from 1926 to mark Salford’s centenary year.

Elsewhere in the town centre, the Independent Street Artisan Market will run along Church Street from 11am to 4pm on Sunday, bringing together local makers, producers and independent businesses.
Other events include a Tandem Chess Simul at Eccles Community Chess Club, where visitors can challenge UK Grandmaster Danny Gormally and Candidate Master Mike Surtees as they take on multiple games at once, and Bandeoke at The Lamb Hotel, offering the chance to sing with a live band.
The weekend will close with an evening photowalk around Eccles town centre led by photographer Simon Buckley of Not Quite Light.
Most events are free to attend, although some activities require free tickets due to limited capacity. The festival runs across Eccles town centre on 28–29 March, with full listings and timings available online.
