In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the birth of hip hop, Manchester promoter More Bounce is bringing an exciting evening to Canvas next week with the iconic Large Professor, in conversation with Andy Votel and Didjit.

Large Professor, also known as Large Pro or The Extra P, is a legendary hip hop record producer and rapper from New York. He has been an integral part of the underground hip hop scene since the early 90s as a member of the influential group, Main Source. Large Professor is also known for discovering the immensely popular rapper Nas and producing much of his first album Illmatic which is considered one of the most important albums in hip hop history.

The event promises to be a fascinating journey into the world of hip-hop, with Large Professor engaging in conversation with Andy Votel and Didjit. The discussion is sure to be a riveting exploration of the origins of hip hop, its evolution over the years, and its impact on music and culture.

The evening will continue with a four-man beat cypher featuring Kuartz, Dooku, Lone Apostrophe, and Chek, along with the legendary Large Professor himself.
