MTV’s annual Europe Music Awards will land in Manchester next month at Co-op Live, with takeovers planned with a host of the city’s best venues and its most prolific party starters.
The awards show happens on 10 November, with a series of parties happening across the city in the week leading up to the ceremony.
Homobloc, Ramona and Factory International will be involved in events between 5 and 9 November, as will music festival Beyond The Music.
Locations like Freight Island, Aviva Studios, Band On The Wall, Rebellion, Diecast, Depot Mayfield, Soup and Hidden will also see curated parties, featuring the likes of Homobloc, Chunky and drag icon Banksie, alongside MTV brands like MTV Push Live, Club MTV and YO! MTV Raps.
Councillor Bev Craig, Leader of Manchester City Council, added: “Our music scene in Manchester is the stuff of legend and we’re known the world over for our brilliant musicians and iconic venues.
“MTV Music Week will be a great showcase for our city and the stage is set for an incredible Manchester music takeover. A boost for the industry, our economy, and fantastic opportunities for some of our best homegrown artists as well as unforgettable performances for audiences to enjoy. We’re excited, can’t wait.”

6 November
MTV Push Live | Soup | 7PM – 10.30PM
MTV Push Live and Beyond the Music present LARKINS, Phoebe Hall and more.
MTV x Ramona Radio Rave | Ramona | 7PM – 12AM
A Ramona Radio takeover with Chunky, Ms Dee and Sno.
6 – 8 November
MTV EMA: 30 Years | Aviva Studios, home of Factory International | 10AM – 8PM

7 November
MTV Push Live | Band On The Wall | 7PM – 11PM
MTV Push Live at Band On The Wall, hosted by the electrifying Manchester DJ duo Shimrise, alongside Nxdia, singer-songwriter Nina Cobham and R&B Soul artist Rumbi Tauro.
