A new National Trust project is inviting people across the UK to share their own reflections on everyday hope, as part of its interactive Blossom campaign.

Created in collaboration with Wild Rumpus, the initiative centres around Pavilion of Hope, a participatory sound installation that encourages people to pause, reflect, and contribute their voices to a growing national archive.

Using voice notes, poetry and spoken word, the project is building a collective soundscape shaped by the public.

Anyone, anywhere can take part. Participants are asked to respond to the question, ‘Where can you see hope blossoming?’ by submitting short voice notes from personal memories and poems, to fleeting observations or messages of optimism.

These recordings are then woven into a live audio experience, played at installations in cities including Manchester, London and Newcastle, while also forming part of an evolving online archive and a series of short films and social content.

In Manchester, the Pavilion of Hope installation will appear outside HOME Manchester on Saturday 9 May, giving visitors the chance to experience the soundscape in person and contribute on site too.

The organisers say the aim is to create a shared, accessible space for reflection, capturing voices from across the country and exploring themes of renewal, impermanence and connection.
