A major new creative hub offering more than 250 affordable studios, workshops and independent business spaces is set to open in Manchester this October.
Bromley Yard will open its first phase on 14 October 2026, with more than 90 studios and business units ready to welcome their first tenants.
It’s located in the Victoria North area of the city, near to Collyhurst, and is a similar concept to nearby Pollard Yard which opened in 2018.
The new creative container village is aimed at artists, makers, musicians, designers, retailers and small independent businesses, offering a mix of workspaces designed to provide a more affordable option for Manchester’s creative community.

Once fully developed, the site will include more than 250 spaces, ranging from 20ft and 40ft container studios to lock-up studios, music spaces, workshops, retail units and flexible business spaces.
A new food court is also planned, with Bromley Yard currently looking for independent food traders, street food operators, coffee businesses, bars and other food and drink concepts to join the site.
The idea is to make the Yard a destination for the wider public too, with people able to visit for food and drink alongside the studios, shops and creative businesses based there.
Bromley Yard is being developed by Meanwhile Creative, which currently operates more than 1,500 studios across sites in Manchester, Bristol, Cardiff and Norwich.

A spokesperson for Meanwhile Creative said:
“Manchester has an incredible creative community, but finding somewhere affordable to make, work and grow can be a real challenge. Bromley Yard is about changing that.
“We’re getting closer to opening the doors now, and we’ve had an incredible response. It’s brilliant to see the site coming to life and we can’t wait to see what Manchester’s creatives do with it and, of course, what they eat and drink while they’re here.”
Applications are now open for studios, business spaces and food and drink opportunities ahead of Bromley Yard’s opening on 14 October.
