OK Taqueria has been announced as one of the kitchens coming to the new food hall, House of Social this summer.
From the team behind much-loved NQ food spots like Public and Evelyn’s, OK Taqueria will be inspired by the street food of Mexico City, as well as the laid-back vibe of Californian taco joints. If that doesn’t sound strictly traditional, that’s okay, the team say they are ‘proudly un-autentico’.

Diners can expect corn tortillas stacked with things like crispy pork belly, tinga chicken with chipotle soured cream, vegan chicken-fried maitake mushrooms, and queso birria beef shin ready to dip in a deeply flavoured consommé.
Fish fans can try the Baja-style cod cheek, and there’s even a brunch option: jalapeño sausage burritos.

House of Social will house five kitchens over two levels, alongside Mughli Charcoal Pit, Burger and Beyond and Choi Wan. The 12,000 square feet site is close to HOME, First Street and Deansgate Locks and is set to open in the summer.
The House of Social food hall will be open Tuesdays to Sundays from 8am, opening as late as 1am on Fridays and Saturdays.
