The creators of Higher Ground are planning a new project – a seafood and listening bar that will be called Bar Shrimp.
No location has yet been revealed for the new spot, but it’ll be opening its doors later this year, they’ve confirmed.
Alongside what will be a menu of seafood and shellfish will be a ‘world class’ sound system providing the tunes.
In a statement, they said: “Whether it’s a beer after work, some food with friends or after dinner drinks late into the night, Bar Shrimp will be a dynamic space where the music and energy evolves throughout the evening where everyone and anyone can come together for a memorable experience.”

Founders chef Joe Otway, Richard Cossins and Daniel Craig Martin met while working at the Michelin-starred Blue Hill at Stone Barns in Westchester County, New York, and launched Higher Ground as a pop-up, pre-lockdown.
They opened Higher Ground in 2023, on the edge of Chinatown, winning a Bib Gourmand from Michelin last year.
They also opened a wine bar and kitchen, Flawd, on Islington Marina in 2021, as well as establishing the Cinderwood market garden in the Cheshire countryside, which not only supplies Higher Ground and Flawd but other restaurants around the city.
