Bar Shrimp is set to officially extend the weekends into Monday morning, with its new Shrimp Sunday sessions.
Providing a platform for DJs – both local and international – to stretch their legs with extended sets, the New York Street bar and restaurant will programme music through to 2am, pushing back the tables to turn the space into a dancefloor.

First up on 19 April will be Athens bar Radar, whose resident Pene will join Rainy Heart and Wet Play don Ruf Dug for a marathon seven-hour set, kicking off around 7pm.
Radar, much like its Manchester counterpart, has built up a rep for excellent cocktails, a great soundsystem and world class DJs casually dropping by for sets, including the likes of Ivan Smagghe and A Love From Outer Space luminary Sean Johnston.
Following this Hellenic exchange will be a party with Stells Selections, who’ll be bringing the vibes on 26 April, with Bar Shrimp’s head of music, resident DJ (and Homoelectric regular) Lukas, aka Lukatti Bugatti, behind the bookings.

Since opening last year, the bar – run by the team behind Higher Ground next door, and Flawd on Islington Marina – have welcomed some stellar talent to play on their hi-fi quality system, tailormade by Stockport’s Mastersounds.
Among them have been the likes of Leeds crew Cosmic Slop, Be With Records, Persona, Supernature Disco, Seiji Ono, Red Laser’s Kickin Pigeon, Krysko, Joey T, Shadeda and Camilla Reghenzi.
Lukas said: “Bar Shrimp is a very dynamic space that’s constantly evolving – Shrimp Sundays are part of that evolution. We want to create a fun and relaxed atmosphere where people are up and moving around, chilling in the lounge and interacting with the music and the DJs.”
