You can learn how to arrange flowers, make jewellery and even make your own Christmas wreath.
‘Ikigai’ is a Japanese word that means ‘that which makes life worth living‘. Now, I suppose this could relate to anything in the world – basically the things that make you get out of bed in the morning.
I’m trying to think now what my Ikigai is and I’m seriously struggling. The only reason I get out of bed in the morning is to come to work – mostly because I really enjoy it but also because it provides me with money in which I can waste on sweets, booze and cheese.
But I think ikigai is more akin to the things one does in life that add value – improving your daily life and doing something that relaxes you and teaches you at the same time. And this is where Cottonopolis come in.
Every Sunday they offer a series of Creative Workshops; guiding you down the path towards your very own enlightenment and perhaps just giving you a reason to get out of bed on the weekend.
Creating your own bouquets, making jewellery and even creating your own Christmas wreath – there’s a diverse range of things on offer – perfect for a nice relaxing Sunday with one of the best Brunches in town.
Here’s what’s coming up over the next few weeks…
