Jingle bells and cocktails coming to the Northern Quarter this December.

As the nights draw in and the Christmas markets open Manchester is about to get its most festive watering hole yet – The Miracle On Edge Street.

The brainchild of the team behind Northern Quarter bar The Pen & Pencil, the new drinking den promises to bring Christmassy cocktails, seasonal songs and festive cheer to Edge Street in the NQ for just one month.

At Miracle On Edge Street revellers will enjoy the cocktail and brunch spots’ signature cocktails served with seasonal joy in an array of vessels from snowman mugs to vintage glasses your grandma loves to enjoy her Christmas Day sherry, or two, from.

Opening 1 December, the bar will trade for just 15 days, Wednesday to Saturday from Thursday 1st until Friday 23rd December from 4pm ’til late (1am weekends).  DJs will play disco every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night creating the perfect party vibe.

Drinks specially created by the team will include:

#newyearnewme with Belenkaya vodka, home-made winterberry cordial and Hobo East Coast Cyder.

Prosec-Ho Ho Ho with Prosecco and home-made mulled wine syrup.

North Pole Addiction with Santa Teresa Claro rum, Mozart Dark Chocolate liqueur and Frangelico.

The bar will also offer wine – red, white and Prosecco, a selection of spirits and a range of Chilean craft beers on draft including Nazca IPA, Brave Red Ale, Real Golden Ale, Rebel Imperial Pilsner and Brutal IPA.

Dan Pollard comments; “The Miracle On Edge Street is going to be the best Christmas pop-up ever; the plan is to take over a little space in the Northern Quarter and turn it into the ultimate Christmas den.  Think tinsel, presents, baubles and drinks served in Christmassy vessels of all kinds. Sometimes people are just a bit too cool when it comes to celebrating but for me Christmas should be kitsch and more than a little bit cheesy. Wear your Christmas jumpers for special treats!”

The venue will also offer private hire for groups from 10 to 100 looking to enjoy a truly magical Christmas celebration with friends or colleagues.
