PLY: A NEW NQ BAR AND RESTAURANT FROM THE TEAM BEHIND KOSMONAUT

The NQ has over recent years become home to some of the most intersting and unique venues in and around Manchester. A veritable hot bed of independant ventures and creative influence. PLY is set to be the newest edition, a bar and restaurant in Stevenson Square set to launch this summer.

PLY-NQ-Manchester

PLY is pitched as a “striking new concept” and I have not reason to doubt this given it’s run by the team behind Tariff Street’s Kosmonaut, which opened its doors in August 2012 and this year won a host of awards from Manchester Media.

Opening as a bright creative multipurpose venue for drinking, eating, meeting and socialising, building work is soon to be underway, as the team redevelops a 5500 square foot unit on the ground floor of 26 Stevenson Square.

Director Joe Fearnhead said: “PLY is a fresh new concept, completely distinct from the current Northern Quarter offering with some show-stopping elements. It’s a flexible space, with defined areas designed to cater for drinkers, diners, coffee meetings and lazy afternoons.”

PLY will be revealing the bar’s unique look, feel and offering over the coming weeks.
