What: Great Northern food, great Northern music, great Northern  entertainment and great Northern hospitality…a place to drink, a place  to dance, a place to dine, a place to relax and a place to enjoy.

The best pubs, clubs and bars are catalysts…friendships can  be forged in them, relationships can be made, business can be done and  memories created.
This is what we want The Northern to be – a home from home, a  place to meet and greet, a bolt hole, and a place you belong.

The Northern’s manifesto is to present great entertainment and support  local talent – from bands to DJ’s, quizzes to cabaret, poetry to acoustic nights, coupled with regular gallery events for Northern  Quarter artists, be it photographers, illustrators or doodlers – they have a space aside for it.

With the outside courtyard with a view of the stars, and their late license throughout the week, they have become a pub for all seasons and reasons.
