Opening up in the iconic St George’s House on Museum Street, Exhibition is the new venture from the family behind Peter Street’s Haunt, a coffee shop and aperitivo bar which recently celebrated its first year in business. The brand-new venue will be the home of independent food, innovative drinks and curated entertainment in Manchester’s vibrant city centre.

Housed within the Grade II listed building, which was previously occupied by the Museum of Natural History back in 1909, the interiors have been stripped back to reveal the original industrial shell.

Levelling up from the traditional food hall concept, the dining space in Exhibition will be home to three soon-to-be-announced local award-winning kitchens, serving up innovative seasonal menus with a refined flair. From small plates to big sharers, the venue promises an exquisite dining experience with global inspiration and locality at its heart.

Two beautiful bars will offer local beers on tap, an extensive wine list and premium spirits, with fresh MCR Union Lager also available straight from the tank. The second bar will be an ode to the ever-changing ‘spirit of season’ – featuring an expertly curated cocktail menu that will celebrate seasonality.

After dark, the 400-capacity venue will play host to DJs and entertainers, showcasing the very best of Manchester’s renowned creative scene. Exhibition will also stay true to its namesake, offering up seven dedicated areas across the venue to local artists to exhibit their work.

Sam Wheatley, Operations Manager said: “We can’t wait to start welcoming people to Exhibition this Autumn, and hope to bring something different to Peter Street. It’s been a passion project for the whole team, and we can’t wait to see this incredible space brought back to life. Nurturing local businesses and artists is integral to Exhibition, and we’re so excited to share our venue with some of the most talented people from across the region.”

Opening in Autumn of this year, Exhibition promises to celebrate the very best of what Manchester has to offer. The food traders will also be announced before the end of this month, so keep your eyes open for the confirmation.
