The Creameries Team are very excited (and relieved) to announce that they will be opening the doors to their much anticipated once Edwardian dairy on Tuesday 24th April.
Brain-child of celebrity chef and Manc lass Mary-Ellen McTague, The Creameries is a fresh concept in British dining. The focus will be on bread, cheese and wine which keeps locality in mind. The bakery and kitchen will be serving freshly baked bread, a fantastic selection of British cheeses, delicious lunches and evening suppers.
“We cannot wait to get going”, says chef-proprietor Mary-Ellen McTague. “This project has been a long time in the making, and we’re delighted to be nearly there. We’ve had so much support from people in Chorlton who’ve been popping in to say hi as the building works have progressed and we are SO looking forward to welcoming everyone!”
The team has thought long and hard about what they’re offering. The snacks and cheese menu reflects the heritage of the building and showcases British and Irish cheeses, home churned butter, fresh curds, to eat with freshly baked bread.
The lunch and supper menus will all be made from scratch, featuring locally grown vegetables, ethically sourced fish and seafood, and wild meat.
The use of space has been given equal consideration. The bread oven is in the heart of the building and at the core of The Creameries in heart and mind. The kitchen is also open for all to see, with the aim of chatting with customers and sparking conversations about the food, where it comes from and how it is made.
There is nothing to hide from at The Creameries, and one hopes to arrive just as the bread is coming out of the oven right before your eyes with a welcome gust of that delicious aroma. It sets out as a fantastic way to connect customers to what they are actually eating.
The Creameries plans to become a place where everybody can come and find new ways to engage with food, drink and the local community.
Opening Hours: 8am-3pm Tuesdays // 8am to 11pm Wednesday to Saturday // 9am to 9pm Sunday
