From Friday 1st February, El Camino will be serving up the finest Mexican food with a menu packed with tacos, burritos and big & small plates, alongside plenty of beers and cocktails to match.
Expect dishes such as Baja Fish Tacos with shredded cabbage, red onion & avocado hot sauce; Short Rib Quesadillas with chilli, loads of cheese and red onion; and Masa Fried Chicken Torta with habanero aioli on toasted ciabatta. Plus there will be homemade hot sauces, guacamole prepped to order, a weekly special burrito, and plenty of options for veggies too.
As well as food, El Camino will be offering late night drinks every Friday and Saturday, with Frozen Margaritas, a great range of beers, tequila and mezcal through until 1am.
The team behind El Camino are previously from a street food background, and have created their pop-up in Urmston with a new concept having traded in the past in with original Mancunian street food party pioneers Guerrilla Eats, Street Feast in London and a successful stint at Trinity Kitchen Leeds under their previous guise.
Sancho Poder of El Camino said “We are really excited about the dining scene in Urmston at the moment but it is clear there is still the demand for new and exciting food experiences here in the suburbs. We had originally planned to open in the town centre last year but couldn’t agree final terms on the lease so we’re doing a pop-up while we wait for the right space.
“We know the guys at Get Chucked from the street food scene and they were happy to lend us their new space, and staff, so we can properly showcase our ideas. We can’t wait to get into the kitchen for our Mexican taco-ver!”
