There are also other Spanish and Mexican inspired classics like Salted Padron Peppers with chilli oil (one of my all-time favourites) and their delicious Avocado Tostadas with cherry tomatoes, red onion with a squeeze of fresh lime juice and plenty of olive oil.
Their 100% dairy free Mac & Cheese is excellent too- and you really can’t go wrong by ordering this one.
There is also a brand new selection of Vegan street food available on the menu. First off there are burritos filled with your choice of Kale & Mushroom, Sweet Potato & Mushroom or Smoked BBQ Jackfruit – which is my go to every single time.
All burritos come filled with guacamole, crushed tortilla chips, rice, beans, peppers, vegan cheese and lettuce. Oh, and they’ll deep-fry it and make it a chimichanga for an extra £1.
Those three fillings (kale & mushroom, sweet potato & mushroom or smoked BBQ jackfruit) can also be added to their soft tacos and nachos. I love their nachos with kale & mushroom topped with vegan cheese, pico de gallo (tomato salsa), and hot jalapenos, and when it comes to tacos, I suggest you get at least one of each.
And it doesn’t stop there. El Capo is also serving up a delicious Beetroot & Chickpea Burger which comes with all the salad, vegan cheese, and pickled red cabbage with a side of fries. Vegan or not this dish is a winner.
For dessert, there is a selection of delicious fruit sorbets. Choose from Lemon, Raspberry or Mandarin – there is no such thing as making the wrong choice when it comes to these puds, and they are the best way to polish off a 100% cruelty-free meal.
