The independent quick-service restaurant chain has seven sites in its hometown of Bristol with  St Peters Square marking Friska’s second site in Manchester following on from the successful opening within The Bright Building at Manchester Science Park.

Launched in 2009 by Griff Holland and Ed Brown in Bristol, Friska has grown to nine sites with the Manchester St. Peter’s Square restaurant making Ten. Friska has a firm belief in its ethos; a conscientious and sustainable outlook on everything from the ingredients they use, the people they employ and the charities they partner with such as Deki and Frank water.

Opening to the public in March, Friska will bring its ‘Feel Good’ ethos to St. Peter’s Square, serving breakfasts, lunches, coffees & cakes to local commuters, residents and visitors to the city.

Friska prides itself on food made from fresh, quality and responsibly sourced ingredients.  Breakfast offerings will include toasties, muffins & breakfast boxes while at lunchtime favourites’ are hot boxes, wraps, burritos and pho noodles.

In addition to its food menu, Friska prides itself on its expertly made speciality coffee, tea and range of cakes and pastries which are all available all day Monday- Friday.

Opening in the heart of Manchester is an exciting opportunity for the growing chain which is looking to partner with local suppliers and businesses to continue its ethos of ‘keeping it local’.  Suppliers will include the Manchester Doughnut Company plus they are still on the hunt for a quality pastry supplier and will commission a local artist to paint a mural in the store connecting it to the community it hopes to become a firm part of.

The store opening date will be announced on the Friska social media channels in the coming weeks along with some opportunities for locals to get feel-good fresh for free. Visit Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for more info.
