The most innovative spirit manufacturer in the world is coming to Manchester this week

… and they’ll be visiting Wolf at the Door this Wednesday!

This Wednesday 20th November sees Wolf at the Door welcome one of the most innovative spirit manufacturers in the world – Empirical Spirits – to the city. They’ll be on hand to present an industry masterclass, as well as a bar takeover from 5pm.

During an exploration trip to Copenhagen, the Wolf at The Door team visited the Empirical factory to learn more about the ethos behind the company.

They don’t define their spirits by categories or labels but instead focus on flavour and blends. WATD tasted a range of their products and incorporated Empirical’s ‘Charlene McGee‘ blend into their ‘Scorched’ drink from their award-winning cocktail list.

This Wednesday 20th November sees Empirical representatives James Goggin (formerly of Maverick Brands and all-round industry big wig), and Ali Kurshat Altinsoy (formerly of NOMA) to the bar.

Arriving around midday, they’ll be hosting an Industry Masterclass at 3pm, followed by a bar takeover from 5pm.

The takeover will include a menu of unique Empirical cocktails and serves designed by WATD Bar Manager Adam Day. Small groups will also be taken to the Innovation Room for a private spirit tasting and aperitif with Ali or James.
