Start practising those Sinatra ballads – a new restaurant from the team behind Tattu is coming to Spinningfields.

Louis’ is aiming to be ‘a love letter to the Italian-American restaurants of New York’, and will feature live entertainment alongside classic Italian-American bistro dishes on the menu.

It will be opening on the site formerly occupied by Carluccio’s on Hardman Square, and will be decked out with velvet booths and a central stage in the middle of the room.

Fenix, which opened last year

Soul singers, pianists, jazz quartets and full swing bands will play five nights a week, while the menu will be created by executive chef Ippokratis Anagnostelis, who launched Fenix for the Permanently Unique Group last year.

Fresh pasta will be made daily at its own dedicated pasta workshop, while their head of beverages Will Meredith will be formulating a 12-strong drinks menu focussing on American cocktail classics.

A ‘no photos’ environment will also be encouraged, with ‘privacy and enjoyment of their guests, and curating an intimate atmosphere’ being the venue’s main focus.

It’s set to open in Autumn, 2024.
