Grab your quaffing vessels… the Manchester Wine Festival will return to Victoria Warehouse for its third year on 23 May.

The 2026 edition will run across two sessions, from 1pm to 4.30pm and 5.30pm to 9pm, bringing together wine producers, distributors, established names and newer labels from the UK and further afield.

There will also be DJs, regional food vendors, games, activities, tastings, masterclasses, merch and prizes.

The festival was founded by husband-and-wife duo Felix and Harriet Howell-Black, who both have a decade of experience in hospitality and events. The idea, they say, was to create a more open and accessible wine event, without the usual snobbery.

“We decided to launch the festival as the wine scene across Manchester has absolutely exploded and we wanted to put all of that together – our love of wine, the city’s love of wine and our incredible bars and brands, both local to Manchester and UK wide,” said Felix.

“We want to showcase what the city has to offer and take away a bit of the snobbery around wine as well. Manchester Wine Festival is open to anyone however much or little they know!”

New for 2026, Manchester Wine Week will run from 16 to 23 May, with events and collaborations taking place at bars and restaurants across the city.

These include a Fizz and Fried Chicken Bottomless Brunch with Loco Wines and Kongs Chicken on 16 May, a four-course dinner with paired wines from Le Coq Boutique and La Vieille Ferme on 20 May, and week-long pours from Loco Wines at Batch in Altrincham, Other Wines at Ad Hoc, Peter Lehmann at Cork of the North, and Amathus at Cru in Didsbury.

Bar Posie and Morgenrot will also be offering oysters and crémant for £10 throughout the week.

“People are really interested in learning about what they’re drinking, how it’s made, the story behind it and where it’s come from and I think that comes with a great opportunity for producers, wine bars and brands to come and interact with the consumer directly on an informal level,” said Harriet.

“We’re looking to break away from stuffy wine tastings and create an accessible point of contact between the brands and the drinkers along with DJ’s, great food, incredible drinks and entertainment in an iconic Manchester setting.”

Tickets – at £38.50 – are available via TicketTailor and include all of your wine, access to activities, talks, tastings and masterclasses.
