New restaurants and bars opening in Manchester in July 2026

The newest tower of the Deansgate-based tower cluster is home to Aloft by Marriott, a 358-room hotel located practically on top of Deansgate-Castlefield Metrolink (not to mention The Deangate pub). The place has a fresh and modern appeal, with the W XYZ bar offering craft cocktails and a curated menu, as well as a 24-hour fitness centre.

Kargo MKT has welcomed a new independent Cantonese comfort food concept from sibling duo Jenny and Harvey Tang. On the menu, expect hand-wrapped beef rolls, homemade wontons, traditional roast meats and wok-fired dishes, all built around freshness, craft and the flavours that shaped them growing up. You’ll find Bang Tang in its own dedicated container space at Kargo MKT now.

A new bagel shop for Altrincham, BGL is inspired by all things NYC. The cute little spot on Railway Street is mostly takeaway, but you can eat-in too. They’ve got all sorts of deli-style fillings, as well as gluten free and vegan options. It’s a nice addition to the town’s already-thriving lunch scene.

Dim Sum House has opened in Stanley Square, taking over the former Roti site in Sale. The menu centres on traditional dim sum, small plates and dumplings, with sui mai, beef dumplings, sin jok rolls, honeycomb tripe, stuffed rice rolls and crispy fried wontons among the deeply authentic dishes. It adds another food and drink name to Stanley Square, which has become one of Sale’s busiest eating-out spots in recent years.

Swinton is getting a new coffee shop, and they seem like a cheerful bunch. This cute little spot is called No Worries and it’s being opened by the pair behind Cinnaboy, who make exceptional cinnamon buns. Expect specialty coffee, affable vibes and – no surprises – vast cinnamon buns.

Chef Sam Grainger (Madre, Medlock Canteen, Belzan, The Great British Menu) presents a love letter to Southeast Asian BBQ with Sister Moon. Not only will it be producing exceptional flavours, it’ll also boast one of the most envied views in the whole city, perched on the rooftop of the Treehouse Hotel Manchester. Further vision and collaboration with Sam comes from Luke Cowdrey and Justin Crawford, of Refuge, Volta and Electrik fame. A top team, and no mistake.
