Pizza Pilgrims will open their first ever Manchester pizzeria this summer, bringing their Naples-inspired menu – and a 140-cover space – to Deansgate on 18 August.
Founded by brothers James and Thom Elliot, the brand is returning to its roots with the Manchester opening.
“We were both born in Manchester and raised in the local area, so it feels like we’re coming back to our roots,” they said. “It’s not a place that you can just swagger into – we’ve waited a long time for the right opportunity.”

Spanning two floors, and creating 30 jobs, the new site will feature a ground-floor and mezzanine dining area, plus a top-floor chef’s table and masterclass kitchen for DIY pizza-making experiences. Designed to channel the ‘holiday to Napoli’ ethos of the brand, the space includes a full Naples-style mural by a local artist and a Fiat Panda bar centrepiece.
The launch menu showcases Pizza Pilgrims’ newest seasonal pizzas, including the Amalfi Coast, topped with DOP anchovies and Piennolo tomatoes, and the indulgent Principessa, featuring Parma ham, buffalo mozzarella, and 24-month Parmigiano-Reggiano. The Burrata & Pesto offers a lighter summer option, while the full menu includes long-time favourites like the Double Pepperoni & Hot Honey and their signature 8 Cheese pizza.

Beyond pizza, the antipasti selection features smoked Napoli salami and Burrata Caprese, with new summer cocktails including a Watermelon & Strawberry Daiquiri and a Spicy Pineapple Margarita.
Pizza Pilgrims’ ingredients are sourced directly from Italy, including San Marzano tomatoes, Caputo ‘00’ flour, and Fior di Latte mozzarella from Campania. Their Dip to Donate scheme, which contributes 5p from every crust dipper to charity, will also be available at the Manchester site.
Before the official launch, Pizza Pilgrims will host a soft launch from 11 to 17 August with 50% off food and drink and bookable pizza masterclasses. A thousand free pizza slices will also be given away from noon on Wednesday 13 August during their Slice Day celebration.
