Piccadilly’s Gujurat-inspired street food parlour is a veggie/vegan haven, selling tasty, flavoursome food at an insanely low price. But guess what? Even this award-winning hot-spot has weekly food offers; who’d have thought it could get any cheaper! Between 12-4pm, Monday- Friday, Bundobust offers 2 dishes for £7. And by gosh, do they know how to please our taste buds! Whilst Greens may be slightly costlier that many veggie joints, it’s the perfect spot for a special evening with a special someone. If you love going to gigs or just enjoy getting totally leathered, you’ll have been to Deaf Institute at some point during your life. But, turns out they do amazing veggie and vegan food too- which is actually buy one meal, get the other one free, every single Wednesday. From sweet potato Thai curries to mouth-watering avocado flatbreads, you and all of your vegan pals will be totally spoiled for choice. I’m sure you’ll have a few pennies left over for some delish beers, too…

Pre-Theatre & Express Lunch
When I think about 1847, I think about a posh restaurant with not-so-posh prices- certainly my kind of place! Located right by the Royal Exchange Theatre, 1847 is a veggie/vegan dream- serving top-class, bespoke food that will make you wonder why you ever touched dairy or meat in the first place! Their Pre-Theatre menu, which is available Monday-Saturday 3-6pm, includes the Chefs’ Choice starter, main course, and your choice of a glass of wine, cocktail or soft drink. And you get all of this for £19.50! Alternatively, 1847 also offer an Express Lunch, which includes a man and a glass of wine for £10, between the hours of 12-3, Monday to Friday.

When it comes to vegan food, it is safe to say that Italian food can be tricky. There is an abundance of milk, cheese and eggs in food from this part of the world and it is usually off limits. Vegans can jump for joy, however, now that Cibo offers a 100% vegan menu. Expect such delights as roasted courgette bruschetta with basil, pappardelle pasta with tomatoes, aubergine and chilli, and even desserts like Pana Cotta with vanilla and berry compote. But do not fret my planet-loving friends – Withington have opened a completely vegan-friendly ice cream parlour called the Ice Shack, meaning your heart-break binge eating may just be back on the cards! Whilst Ice Shack don’t necessarily offer any deals (it’s literally too cheap as it is), the do offer a ‘money off recycling scheme’, every time you return any boxes or packaging from them. So basically, you get your super delish vegan-dessert and save the planet, all in one trip!
