What: At the turn of the nineteenth century in the city known as Cottonopolis the only light that poked through the coal-black clouds of a mill-worker’s interminable life of grind was the once-a-week visit to the local watering hole. In a few short hours they would drink their entire weekly wage, be convinced of their singing prowess, wander the streets inventing pugilism and spend far too much time chatting-up lamp posts. This then was the beginning of something special – the weekend as we know it was born. Yes indeed! The weekend was, in fact invented in Manchester. If this historic vista still conjures up similar images in 2010 however, then perhaps you have yet to experience the delights of GRILL on the ALLEY.
Located off iconic Deansgate this restaurant epitomises old and new Manchester, coming together to form a perfect partnership where you may hide away in a haven of great food, drink and atmosphere; enjoy our produce driven menu of freshly prepared and mouth watering dishes cooked correctly and served simply.
