If you haven’t managed to get over to Manchester’s little slice of the Canary Islands, La Bandera, then it is safe to say that you haven’t truly lived.

All the classics are covered with the traditional Spanish tortilla Espanola, patatas bravas and freshly made squid ink croquettes.
Also, if you are looking for some of the more home-style dishes, you will find them on the La Bandera tapas menu in the form of the salpicon de pulpo (octopus salad), Boquerones (cured anchovies) and the stunningly delicious Lagrimas de pollo (chicken with peppers and almonds).
