Funds raised in honour of Manchester's Crafty Cheese Man will go to the Christie hospital...
There’s barely a restaurant worth its salt in Manchester – and beyond – that hasn’t worked with Jonathan Pearcey.
Ask anyone, you’ll get the same response. ‘Lovely man’, ‘legend’.
Known in the hospitality business as The Crafty Cheese Man, his diligent, vastly knowledgeable sourcing is seen proudly emblazoned on menus all across the region. What he doesn’t know about cheese isn’t worth knowing.
So bringing together the best chefs in the city for a charity fundraising banquet has been more of a ‘form an orderly queue’ situation.
Taking place at Higher Ground on 6 July (BOOK HERE), here’s the line-up:

Dinner will comprise a host of courses, with the set menu price at £120 per person with drinks options available on the night. Service will be waived, but additional donations can be made in their stead.
Proceeds from the dinner will go to The Christie, the charity of choice for Jonathan, who himself received a life-changing diagnosis in 2024.
Go and celebrate a figure from the Manchester food scene who has brought joy to so many, and do some good while you’re at it.
