Embankment Kitchen, the restaurant that sits as part of luxury Manchester hotel City Suites, has relaunched its menu after an overhaul of its kitchen team.

The brand-new Winter dishes focus on seasonality and indulgent Winter flavours, as well as quality British dishes mixed with Italian and French influences.

Everything on the menu is locally sourced and has been created so that there is minimal waste – celebrating delicious Winter produce.

Diners will find dishes such as salt baked artichoke and slow braised beef cheek, as well as paprika and garlic roasted squash and venison loin served with crispy kale and blackberry jus.

Speaking of the menu, new head chef Josh Singleton said: “The idea behind the new menu focuses on seasonal, local produce mixed with creative flavours and a progressive learning environment.

“I’ve tried to develop the menu so my chefs can learn something from it every day, whether it’s flavour combinations or a new technique to enable their passion and creativity.”

Josh was a Masterchef: The Professionals quarter finalist and brings with him a range of skills from a successful career in cheffing. For him, a focus on nurturing talent in the kitchen will be the biggest push for Josh and the Embankment Kitchen team going forward into 2023.

The new Winter Menu is just the first step in this endeavour, with much more culinary flair and seasonal menus to come during his stint at the restaurant.
