A stunning festive offering from The Counter House

It can be very hard when it comes to choosing a Christmas meal, so I’ll give you a little tip.

The humble Roast Dinner is perhaps the King of Dinners, and as a result the Christmas Dinner is the King of Roast Dinners – making it what? The Emperor of Dinners perhaps?

So, it only makes sense that if you’re looking for somewhere to do a great Christmas Dinner then you should look no further than somewhere that does a great Sunday Dinner.

The talk of Ancoats on a Sunday, The Counter House is one such place – serving up a seemingly endless supply of stunning Sunday Roasts every week.

Their Christmas Menu is a thing of beauty, featuring 3 courses for just £28 per person. To start with you can choose from a festive Chestnut Soup, Maple & Mustard Chicken Skewers, the classic Prawn Cocktail or a Cauliflower & Shiitake Mushroom Curry.

For mains there’s the traditional Turkey Dinner (with celeriac mash, sausage & clementine stuffing and a cranberry gravy) alongside Lemon Sole, Nut Roast or for an extra £3 – a Rib Eye Steak with smoked mash, roasted garlic and bordelaise sauce.

Finally, you can finish on the brilliant Christmas Pudding (with a coconut brandy cream), a Dark Chocolate Molten Cake, Baked White Chocolate Cheesecake or my personal favourite way to end a meal – Cheese.
