The Refuge
Easily one of the best, and prettiest, terraces in the city - The Refuge benefits from being in a small courtyard right in the middle of the grand old building - meaning no wind, easy full cover and with the heaters - warmth.
Escape to Freight Island
There wouldn't be much of a point in heading to Freight Island for 2 hours to watch some live music or a drag show unless it was under cover and heated - it'd just be hell. Luckily for us all then - they've got us covered - literally and figuratively.
Hatch
The ultimate covering here - the concrete monstrosity of the Mancunian Way. Pair this with heaters dotted all around and you've got yourself a dry, wind-less, warm space in which to enjoy booze and food until you burst.
The Lowry Hotel
A 5* star terrace for a 5* hotel - the Lowry have a long balcony overlooking the Irwell complete with massive awnings to keep you dry and heaters to keep you warm. Enjoy alongside some cocktails and a dedicated menu from the River Restaurant. Have a Sharing Platter too - they're excellent.

Alvarium
One of the liveliest and best terraces in the NQ, you're always assured a top time at Alvarium - made even better with their massive gazebos and their heaters - which will stop your extremities falling off whilst drinking a pint (or 6).
The Con Club
As well as their covered terrace out front, Altrincham's Con Club also have a secret rooftop garden - complete with heated tipi - perfect for sitting down for a few hours and working your way through their brilliant cocktail (and food) menu.
Ducie Street Warehouse
With a huge new south facing terrace round the back of Ducie Street Warehouse - this place is perfect when the sun is out. When it isn't? You're still gonna be fine as they've got some truly massive parasols and loads of heaters to keep your tootsies warm.
Rudy's Neapolitan
Both Peter Street and Ancoats are covered and have heaters - meaning you won't have to eat a soggy, cold pizza whilst out enjoying yourself this weekend. In fact, if you wrap up warm and close your eyes, you could almost be in Napoli. Almost.
Dakota Hotel
They spent about £1m doing up their terrace at Dakota last year, money that has definitely paid for itself in spades now that places can only open up outside. Covered, heated and actually really rather pretty - there are few better places to go in the city.
Dive Bar & Grill
An impressive feat of woodworking engineering, Dive's Northern Quarter terrace is a thing of beauty, with plenty of cover, loads of heaters and some great vantage points for watching the world go by.
Brewski Chorlton
Covered, heated, expanded and looking great - Brewski's new terrace is a welcome addition to Chorlton and the best place in Manchester to eat some seriously good food and snuffle your way through plenty of beers.
Ramona
A brand-new addition up at Swan Street, this old MOT garage has been transformed into a covered outdoor haven - complete with camp fires and those heaters which you need to press a button with every 5 minutes. Perfect.
The Lawn Club
Alongside some massive plush cushions - the Lawn Club have some green houses which you can sit in and keep dry and warm, as well as those weird Pokémon Ball style 'pods' which can comfortably fit 6 people and will keep the elements away while you glug red wine for a couple of hours straight.
YES
With some very welcome corrugated plastic roofing, sturdy wooden beams and those proper hot infra-red heaters, YES have pretty much got it all sorted - no matter the weather. Even that twister from the movie Twister would have trouble penetrating this bad boy - and that thing nearly killed Bill Paxton.
The Ivy
With a large ground floor covered and heated terrace, The Ivy have it all pretty much sorted if you fancy some food and a few boujee cocktails on a weekend. But wait - there's more. Their Roof Garden is open once again, which must be SO close to towing the line between inside and outside that it's pretty much like standing in your porch at home - with a heater on and a bottle of Prosecco in your hand.
20 Stories
Offering up one of the city's tallest and most impressive terraces was never going to be an easy task - especially in Manchester, but the bods behind 20 Stories thought about all of that years ago - so we don't need to worry. Fires, heaters, awnings and little greenhouse-type things - it's all here to keep you warm, dry and happy.
The Old Abbey Taphouse
Probably the best terrace that you've not heard of - the Old Abbey Taphouse have a cracking outside bit - with cover, heaters, DJs, pizza and loads of craic. Once you're here it's hard to leave - especially when the shots come out.
Zouk
Zouk have always had an impressive outside terrace area, which they've extended since re-opening again back in April. They’re now taking bookings – so head on over and get yourself a table before they all go. Hot curry, hot heaters and err... you'll be hot. Trust me.
Scene Indian Street Food
Scene have a massive terrace down at Spinningfields - it'd be a massive shame not to use it at a time like this. So head on down, have some drinks, a bit of food and perhaps even a shisha - you'll be covered and heated the whole time.
