Mother’s Day Weekend – Kintsugi Skills Workshop, Spring Lunch & Prosecco
Enjoy a creative workshop with crafting expert Amelia Bedson this Saturday. Discover the ancient art of Kintsugi in a fun way and create beautiful ceramic pieces to take home. Kintsugi celebrates the Japanese philosophy of the beauty of imperfection, and guests will learn how to safely break pottery and to repair it with gold – embracing the cracks to make unique pieces of art.
Learn new skills and meet new friends at the class, which will be take place at Moregeous Mansions, a beautiful period home and arts space in Fallowfield. Guests can also tuck into a delicious seasonal lunch at the event and a glass of fizz.
Amelia, from Amelia Jane Gilding, has a master’s degree in the Conservation of Cultural Heritage from the University of Lincoln. She is a gilt frame, objects, and decorative surfaces conservator and restorer and has worked in the Fine Arts sector for over four years, gaining extensive experience in restoring and conserving antiques.
Mothers Day Bottomless Sunday Brunch at Sexy Fish
Make Mothers Day truly special with an indulgent Sexy Fish Sunday brunch on Sunday 30 March. The Spinningfields restaurant will also offer special tasting menus later on in the evening.
Priced at £48 per person, the luxurious Sexy Fish Sunday Brunch will feature sharing starters for the table, unlimited selections from a sushi buffet, decadent mains, and the option to add on free-flowing cocktails or bubbles, the perfect way to celebrate Mum.
Starters include crispy duck watermelon salad, chicken gyoza and steamed edamame, followed by a limitless sushi buffet with maki, sushi, sashimi and tartare available for the duration of your table sitting. A selection of sharing mains also feature with firm favourites such as grilled seabass and the spicy noodles on the special Sunday menu.
The brunch will then be finished with a selection of ‘Sexy Treats’ for the table with the famous Sexy Fish cinnamon donuts, cheesecake and exotic fruit served sharing style.
