Adidas and Factory International kick off Build Manchester, a 12-day festival of skateboarding at Aviva Studios on 27 July, offering up a wild programme of events, open-to-all skate contests, skate schools, product launches, exhibitions, film premieres and workshops.
There’s also a chance to get up close and personal with Adidas’ global team riders including the likes of Blondey McCoy, Jarrad Carlin, and Nikolai Piombo. Representing the city’s rich skate scene, meanwhile, will be Manchester’s much-loved skate park ProjektsMcr, who will be offering free coaching sessions, while revered skate culture store Note will also be running a skate school in collaboration with pro team Northern Rolling.
