Alhan Gençay’s first major independent documentary heads to the big screen, following the presenter to Belvedere Race Track in Westmoreland to explore the people, rivalries and traditions surrounding one of Jamaica’s oldest racecourses. Along the way, he meets the jockeys, trainers and punters who have kept the track alive for more than a century, capturing the passion, pride and fierce competition that comes with race day. The screening also includes a live introduction and Q&A with Alhan, plus a first look at teasers from his upcoming documentary projects.
