Screening at HOME for one night only, a new documentary from multi-award-winning director Louise Lockwood follows the life and death of Kenyan-Scottish musician Beldina Odenyo. Odenyo, aka Heir of the Cursed, took her own life age only 31, leaving behind raw, intimate video diaries and a hard drive full of original songs. The film follows the journey Bel’s sister and friends took to release her work posthumously, her legacy and the struggle to keep it alive. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with the director Louise Lockwood and associate producer Jackie Kay.
