This Sunday, Jungle legends 4AM Kru and Sexy Lady Massive are teaming up with Save Our Scene for a free party at the car park of Un.titled Studios in Salford. Running from 4 to 9pm, the rave will be followed by a party at Manchester’s legendary Stage & Radio, taking over all three rooms, showcasing a mix of underground sounds and performances from local DJs and producers.
Tickets are free for the daytime event and £10 for the afterparty, with proceeds donated to support Stage & Radio.
Stage & Radio has been a vital part of Manchester’s music scene since 1946 — first as Club 43 hosting the likes of Miles Davis, and then later reborn as a grassroots club space that’s supported artists like Coldplay, Aitch, and the 100+ local DJs who call Crop Radio home. Now, according to its owners, its future may hang in the balance. A luxury apartment block is being built just metres from the venue doors, putting it at risk of being silenced by noise complaints.
Save Our Scene is on the frontline of this battle, campaigning to defend venues like Stage & Radio up and down the country. Alongside Sunday’s events, they’ll soon be releasing a fundraising compilation featuring friends of the venue, with all profits going toward legal fees, PR, and petition support during the planning objection window.
Join the cause. Come dance. And help make sure Stage & Radio keeps the music going.
The party has been made possible by Kickers UK who have collaborated with SOS as part of their Stomping Grounds campaign.
