Manchester will come alive with colour and light this February as the city comes together to celebrate the Year of the Snake with the return of the legendary Dragon Parade.

The popular parade is set to take place on Sunday 2 February, where thousands of visitors will watch as the famous 175ft Chinese dragon weaves its way through the city centre streets. The parade will start on the junction of Oxford Street and George Street at 12pm on Sunday, before heading along Portland Street and finishing in Chinatown for a final performance on Princess Street.

Expect to see traditional lion and ribbon dancers, the animals of the zodiac, ancient army characters and Chinese Opera performers. There will also be food and drink stalls as well as a family friendly fun fair.
