Victor Yu of Choi Wan has teamed up with Ginger Wings founder Jack Blumenthal (yes, that’s son of Heston) for a two-day Lunar New Year special that swaps burger buns for those signature prawn toast crumpets, stuffing them with crispy chicken thigh, tamarind satay sambal, pickled onion and seaweed. There are also buffalo salt and pepper wings on offer too, blending British Chinese takeaway flavours with serious fried chicken technique, and it’s all available until sold out.
