There’s a different kind of Saturday morning session landing back in Manchester this spring, one that swaps dark studios for skyline views and post-workout shakes for something a bit more considered.
From 4 April through to mid-September, Chotto Matte is bringing back its rooftop wellness series in collaboration with Studio 34, running every other Saturday morning across the warmer months.
Each session starts at 10:30am with a 45-minute mat Pilates class led by the Studio 34 team. Expect a steady mix of strength work, controlled flow and breath-led movement, all set against the backdrop of Chotto Matte’s rooftop space, high above the city.
Once the class wraps, things shift from stretch to refuel. Guests are invited to build their own post-workout bowl, with a choice of base, either a Chotto Caesar Salad or quinoa with pickled vegetable ribbons, before adding an anticucho-style grilled protein. Options include salmon, marinated chicken or king oyster mushrooms, all designed to feel nourishing without undoing the morning’s effort.
It’s a neat crossover between fitness and food, leaning into that weekend reset energy without taking itself too seriously. You get the structure of a class, the payoff of a proper lunch, and a couple of hours that feel like a break from the usual routine.
Tickets are £40 per person, covering both the class and the bowl, with brunch served from 12pm after each session. Spaces are limited and booking is required, so it’s one to plan ahead for if you’re looking to lock in a more active start to the weekend.
