Wigan creative community Everyday will exhibit the wonderful ceramic pieces made by participants of their weekly Clay Club. These sessions, supported by The National Lottery Community Fund Awards For All, have been an opportunity for those experiencing barriers in accessing the arts to express themselves creatively. Bonded together by each other’s shared experiences and acceptance of differences, a true community has been formed with art as a tool for wellness at its centre.
Taking place at Wigan’s old cotton spinning site Trencherfield Mill, each piece in the exhibition centres around memories of Wigan’s past and hopes for the town’s future. If you would like to support the future of Clay Club, they will be collecting donations and selling handmade items to ensure the longevity of this creative community.
