Stockport Plaza is hosting a film screening examining representation of substance use, recovery and mental health. Three short works will be shown together as part of Recoverist Month including a BAFTA-nominated documentary, a hand-painted animation and the exclusive UK premiere of a video artwork hailing from the US. The three screenings will be followed by a panel discussion, hoping not to offer art as a remedy but invite a shared encounter with the visual language, ruptures and repetitions by which recovery is lived and re-imagined.
