Stockport’s Crafted Futures brings together a week of hands-on workshops, live demonstrations, a new large-scale mural by artist Oskar and Meet the Makers events, with sessions taking place across venues including Where The Light Gets In and Runaway Brewery. Expect appearances from craftspeople such as signwriter Damien Whyatt, mosaic artist Tracey Cartledge, willow weaver Cherry Chung and designer-maker Liam Hopkins (aka Lazarian), alongside the National Trust Heritage Skills Team. It’s a celebration of the crafts that built Stockport and a rallying call to keep those traditions alive for the next generation.
