HUSH Events in partnership with Band on the Wall presents a landmark night: the first ever ‘Felabration’ in Manchester, a licensed celebration of the life, music and legacy of Fela Kuti, the pioneer of Afrobeat. Headlining is Dele Sosimi, the Nigerian, British Afrobeat Ambassador who began his career as keyboardist in Fela Kuti’s own Egypt 80, before becoming musical director alongside Femi Kuti in Positive Force. Joining him on stage is Olusegun & The Stallion Band, HUSH’s core touring band and a powerhouse of live Afrobeat, bringing their full six-piece energy direct from Nigeria, alongside Ara. Expect scorching brass, hypnotic rhythm, and the spirit of Fela on stage.
