Channel 4’s hugely popular First Dates is celebrating a decade of LGBTQ+ love stories, having recently marked 10 years of matchmaking on screen. To mark the occasion, TV journalist Scott Bryan will host a panel to talk all about the much-loved show’s LGBTQ love stories, as part of Manchester’s Scene Festival.
He will be joined by First Dates restaurant staff member Aoife Smyth, the first openly queer woman to star as regular staff in the series and Stephan Kyriacou, a trans man dater who appeared on the show earlier this year. The event will be followed by a social and singles mixer brunch, hosted by SCENE Festival, where guests will get the chance to mingle over a complmentary mimosa on the Ducie Street Warehouse terrace.
