Manchester Camerata’s artistic partner, acclaimed violinist Daniel Pioro, has been obsessed with Vivaldi’s iconic Four Seasons since he was a boy. So much so that in 2013, he managed to convince his friend, the author Sir Michael Morpurgo, to write text specifically to accompany Vivaldi’s masterwork. At the stunning surrounds of the Great Nave of the Monastery in Gorton on 19 January, watch him perform with Manchester Camerata in the round, accompanied by a reading of Morpurgo’s poetry.
