Award-winning comedian, writer, illustrator and podcaster Henry Paker brings his latest show to Manchester, inviting audiences to take a look inside what he describes as a cartoonist’s pencil case. Expect a mix of stand-up, illustration and the kind of sideways thinking that has made him a regular presence across British comedy. Paker is one third of cult podcast Three Bean Salad, and has appeared on The Last Leg and Russell Howard’s Good News. His writing credits include Would I Lie To You?, 8 Out Of 10 Cats and Mock The Week, while his cartoons have appeared in The Times, The Observer, The Spectator and Prospect, as well as books including Joe Wilkinson: My Autobiography and Kay’s Anatomy. The show promises a suitably strange collision of comedy and drawing, with Paker pulling apart the ideas, assumptions and oddities that sit behind both.
