Kantina Supper Clubs transform Freight Island’s Platform into a four-week dinner series through June, featuring two of Manchester’s most inventive kitchens. Every Thursday evening, Hakkapo, the team behind those soft Japanese milk-bread baos and rich donburi, joins forces with MoreJoy, known for its creative Chinese-inspired dishes.

The sharing-style menu opens with Hakkapo’s signature French toast made from Japanese milk bread, drizzled in black sesame sauce, alongside slices of milk bread topped with dan dan butter. Next, tuck into sesame mazamen, buckwheat noodles tossed in a simple sesame dressing—before moving on to furu-marinated chicken laziji served with fragrant duck-fat jasmine rice.
Seats are just £25 per head for each evening, and availability is very limited.
